Six reasons to make the most of summer’s final weeks

Thompson Square

LAS VEGAS (Aug. 13, 2026) – While summer may be winding down, the excitement at Palms Casino Resort is only picking up. From rooftop parties and poolside concerts to football celebrations, island-inspired experiences and headline entertainment, there’s still plenty of time to make the most of the season.

Here are six can’t-miss ways to soak up the final weeks of summer at Palms.

1. Make the Most of Pool Season

There’s still plenty of summer left at Palms Pool, with live music, football, special events and island-inspired entertainment filling the calendar through the end of the season.

On Monday, Aug. 24, Frenzy Fest takes over KAOS and Palms Pool with 20 original acts for a free, all-ages festival celebrating original music. A suggested $20 donation benefits Positively Arts, a local nonprofit that uses the performing arts to build mental resilience and empower young people.

College football also arrives early with a Week Zero Pool Party on Saturday, Aug. 29, as the University of Hawaii takes on Stanford. Fans can catch the game poolside with $5 drink specials during the matchup.

Then, on Saturday, Sept. 5, award-winning country duo Thompson Square takes the stage for a free afternoon concert. Known for chart-topping hits including Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not and If I Didn’t Have You, husband-and-wife duo Keifer and Shawna Thompson bring their signature harmonies to one of Las Vegas’ premier pool destinations.

Guests can make a day of it with DJs spinning throughout the afternoon, refreshing cocktails, poolside lounging and the Blush & Bubbles Brunch Package, featuring sparkling wine paired with shareable favorites including a Chicken & Waffle Slider Board, Snack Tower or Finger Food Sampler.

2. Take Summer Nights to New Heights at Ghostbar

Summer nights hit different 55 floors above Las Vegas.

Skyline Saturdays at Ghostbar keeps the party going with Grammy Award-winning DJ Dave Audé on Saturday, Aug. 15, followed by DJs From Mars on Saturday, Aug. 29. Both nights feature spectacular rooftop views, high-energy sets and $10 Ketel One cocktails.

Fridays belong to the ladies with Ladies First, a weekly celebration featuring resident DJ Jenna Palmer, complimentary admission and a complimentary glass of Bonita Bonita Grand Cuvée for ladies. On Friday, Aug. 21, the party gets an added dose of live entertainment with a performance by The Black Sheep.

With free admission, signature events and one of the best views in Las Vegas, Ghostbar offers plenty of reasons to take advantage of a few more summer nights.

3. Experience the Spirit of Hawaii on the Ninth Island

Las Vegas has long been known as Hawaii’s “Ninth Island,” and Palms celebrates that connection with island-inspired experiences throughout the remainder of pool season.

Lost in Paradise continues at Palms Pool with Hawaiian dancers and island and Hawaiian DJs throughout August, creating an all-ages celebration of music, culture and tropical poolside vibes. Beginning in September, live bands return every Sunday, kicking off Sept. 6 with Kaipo Kapua.

The island spirit continues with Island Vybez at Ghostbar on Aug. 20 and Sept. 3; A.Y.C.E. Buffet’s returning Hawaiian menu on Aug. 29, featuring assorted poke, whole roasted suckling pig, chicken katsu and kalbi short ribs; and the World’s Greatest Mai Tai Competition on Aug. 29 at Palms Pool. The latter features a Mai Tai showdown at Long Bar from noon to 2 p.m., sponsored by Myers Rum, along with a live band and DJ.

No passport required.

4. Kick Off Football Season Poolside

Football season starts early at Palms before culminating in one of the biggest fan celebrations of opening weekend.

After kicking things off Week Zero with the University of Hawaii vs. Stanford matchup on Aug. 29, Palms Pool welcomes The Black Hole Kickoff Pool Party on Saturday, Sept. 12, featuring hip-hop legends Too $hort and Warren G.

Hosted by the legendary Black Hole fan group, the all-ages event brings together die-hard football fans from across the country for live entertainment, premium game-day food, poolside cocktails, giveaways and cabanas under the Las Vegas night sky.

5. See Legendary Artists Live at Pearl Concert Theater

The soundtrack continues inside Pearl Concert Theater with an impressive lineup of acclaimed performers spanning R&B, rock, Latin music and more.

Upcoming shows include:
•   Jill Scott – Aug. 15
