Lupita D’Alessio is a well-known singer, songwriter and telenovela actress who was born as Guadalupe Contreras Ramon in Tijuana, Mexico. She started in entertainment with her father Poncho D’Alessio early in her career. She later moved to Mexico City and in 1978 was chosen to represent that city by singing in the OTI Festival. Her 1987 album Soy Autentica Y Punto is her best-known work and earned a Top 20 spot on Billboard's Latin Pop albums chart. Some of her most well-known songs are, Te Doy de Baja, Ya lo Se Que Tu Te Vas, Si Tu Ya No Me Quieres and Esta Noche. Don’t miss La Leona Dormida (The Sleeping Lioness) in concert at Pearl Theater.
